Italy Airport : Naples International Airport

NapoliAirport From 1995 to date, the Naples International Management company has
invested 120 million euro in developing infrastructure and services and is
currently committed to a series of expansion and optimisation works aimed at
ensuring that the airport become even more functional, safe and comfortable.
Following is a brief summary of the infrastructure work at Naples
International Airport completed or scheduled for completion by 2008:
Check-in area:
?28 check-in counters (June 2007 – 13 new check-in counters)
?2 additional conveyor belts for departing baggage (completed June 2007)
Expansion of Departures Concourse:
- new modern, functional vertical connections
Commercial area
New Food and beverage area and overall reconfiguration of landside commercial
area by 2008 and airside commercial area by 2010
Security control units
10 x-ray screening units
Boarding Lounge:
?Extension of passenger boarding lounge (completed July 2007)
new_sicta Arrivals area:
Extension of arrivals area
- 5 new baggage conveyor belts
- new Lost & Found
- First aid centre (completed 7 June 2007)
Aprons:
- Repaving of runway – completed the 4th, 5th and 6th of June 2007)
- New jet fuel and petrol depot and distributing system
- new airside water drainage system
- 7 new aprons (completed May 2006)
Forecourt
- New parking area for tourist buses and new multi-storey parking for passengers
- New external layout
