Norway Airport : Rygge Civil Airport
Moss Airport Rygge is centrally located in southeastern Norway. With a new terminal building, infrastructure, parking area and runway, this airport is personally organized to offer a wide spectrum of national and international scheduled routes and charter traffic.
Our goal is for Moss Airport Rygge to become one of Europes most efficient airports for use and enjoyment by the local population and business travelers.
The Norwegian Defense has given us permission to run civilian air traffic from Rygge, while the company Rygge Civil Airport AS (RSL) is responsible for building, ownership, and operating the civilian air terminal.
Rygge sivile lufthavn AS (RSL) - in English: Rygge Civil Airport - is a privately owned company established in 1999.
This company was established in order to develop, plan, construct, and operate the civilian airport at Rygge. RSL will operate a profitable airport with a mind to serving the population and businesses in the region. We aim to run the airport with a focus on the environment and passenger safety.
RSL aims at Moss Airport Rygge being one of the most efficient regional airports in Europe, with a thought to airline and passenger flows, with a well-organized ground transport service.
The airport will establish a national and international flight route network based on scheduled routes and charter traffic, at comfortable prices.

Norway Airport : Oslo Airport (OSL)
Oslo Airport (OSL) was established on 13 November 1992, a month after the Norwegian Parliament had passed a motion to build the new airport. OSL is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Avinor AS, the former Norwegian Air Traffic and Airport Management (NATAM).
OSL was involved in the planning, construction, ownership and operation of the new main airport at Gardermoen, located 47 km north of Oslo. On 1 January 1997, OSL took on responsibility for the operation of the existing airports at Fornebu just outside Oslo and at Gardermoen. This increased the number of OSL staff by 400, not including the 240 people already employed on the construction project. Transfer of responsibility for operation of the airports has been completed well in advance of the new airport's opening. In this way, staff with a great deal of experience and expertise within the field are in place, enabling the company to be as prepared as possible.
The establishment of OSL as a public limited company was a requirement of the Government's proposal to the Norwegian Parliament. This step was taken because of the socio-economic benefits of the project, which is being financed entirely by user fees. Investment in construction and commissioning costs are financed by loans arranged through Norges Bank. Therefore, the construction of the new airport has not affected the national budget. After the airport was completed in 1998, the loans was repaid by normal aviation charges and commercial income generated from its operation. Total investment amounts to NOK 11.4 billion (based on 1992 conversion rates), including acquisition of land and compensation.

Malta Airport : Malta International Airport
Malta International Airport handled 1.41 million passengers between January and June this year, an increase of 178,462 movements (14.5%) over the same period in 2007.
In the course of a media conference, MIA’s CEO Julian Jaeger analysed the traffic operations during the first half of this year. Aircraft movements increased by 4.3% whilst the seat capacity surpassed the 2 million figure with an increase of nearly 7%. More importantly, the seat load factor increased from 65.2% to nearly 70% during the past six months. Cargo and Mail activity is also on the rise with an increase of 7.1% for a total of 9,244 tonnes handled.
Mr Jaeger said that the airlines’ business mix has changed mostly due to the higher presence of low-cost airlines. “With Ryanair commencing its operation of new routes in 2008 as well as the advent of Easyjet, Vueling, Norwegian and Volareweb, low-cost carriers increased their share of operation by 11.2% and currently command a 20% share of the total traffic to Malta. Legacy airlines have increased the number of passenger movements by 34,500 but have lost close to 7.5% of their market share, decreasing to 71%. Increases are mostly directed at the expense of the charter operations, losing 3.8% of the market share and translating into 30,500 passengers less during the first six months of this year. However, this evolution in the business mix falls in line with international trends” Mr Jaeger said.
